We are fiddle (and viola, cello, bass, mandolin, guitar, harp - you name it) players of all ages who meet to play tunes from the Scottish diaspora. We play together, some of us perform together, we share tunes, we have a lot of fun - and we make CDs. Our fourth and fifth CDs both won Golden Fiddle Awards for Best CD, our sixth CD was brilliant too but we haven't entered it for any awards yet - and now our seventh, Sea To Sky, has just been released!
Join us! We meet on the 3rd Sunday of most months from 2pm - 5pm (not January, our first meeting is in February, and in December the date may change), at St Aidans Uniting Church, North Balwyn unless otherwise stated. All ages and all levels welcome – we have fiddlers galore, violas, cellists, harpists, pianists, guitarists, bassists – bring along your instrument, your enthusiasm for Scottish music and something to share for our famous afternoon tea. Get in touch if you’d like to come along.
Why not hire Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club to entertain at your next event? We can perform at corporate functions, charity events, community Entertainment events, birthday parties, christmas parties, awards nights, weddings, engagements, anniversaries, engagements, and even funerals and memorial services.
